GREEN PRINTING FAQ

We have the in-house capability for producing any type of corporate literature, sales and marketing as well as various types of printed material needed in business processes. Our difference with the conventional printing companies is that we focus on printing environmentally friendly corporate, sales and point-of-purchase material using a variety of recycled papers, soy-based inks, and chemical free plates. We have implemented an internal environmental sustainability and eco-friendly program that incorporates a number of processes in our plant. Here is a list of some of these initiatives:

• We have been using chemical-free printing plates (Agfa Azura Plates) in our plant to eliminate the need for using chemicals and water in producing printing plates. This has also enabled us to avoid using water in the process as well as elimination of waste water and the need for its proper management.
• Recycling of all ink, ink cans, printing plates, press solutions. Some of the material we recycle, are used for reuse again, which means saving on future over-use of these resources and avoiding unnecessary contamination of landfills and groundwater systems.
• We use recycled paper whenever possible. Our recycled paper selection include up to 100% post consumer recycled content, certified papers by internationally renowned eco-friendly advocate organizations such as FSC. Moreover we offer specialty fibre paper selections with as high as 30% in post-consumer content where the most common in the industry is 5-10%.
• We only use Soy-based inks in order to significantly reduce the VOC (Volatile Organic compounds) released into the atmosphere. Therefore, using Soy-based inks with the characteristics of the inks we utilize reduces the negative impacts of VOC’s on the air we breath, hence, reducing or almost eliminating the otherwise potential for air pollution.
• We also recycle all the materials we use in our plant and offices; these include: the wood skids, the paper wasted during the printing and bindery steps, the paper used in the office area, the rags used at the printing press during the setup process, and the waste from packaging process; just to name a few.
